Shop Talk: New John Varvatos Store Opening in NYC

Along with Murakami at the Brooklyn Museum this past weekend, John Varvatos, unveiled his new digs at 315 Bowery (the former legendary CBGB rock club ), in the Lower East Side of New York City. This shop is cool.  It will not only distribute all of the Varvatos lines but will also sell vintage vinyl, as well as vintage seventies hi-fi equipment for the vinyl.  The shop also host a small stage for monthly performances by up-and-coming guest musicians.  It’s needless to say that there will be a lot going on at Varvatos. This fall, the designer will also launch 315 Bowery, a lilmited-edtion specialty line. Sounds exciting, eh?

  1. thanks for the info. it’s good to know that this spot will be used, to some extent, for musicians. it was such a legendary place, one that i wished i could have had a few drunken nights at.
